Michael Lockwood has been involved in music from a young age. His professional career started in the early 1980s with Lions & Ghosts. They signed to EMI America and released two albums before disbanding. Followed by that was the rise of LA Power Pop faves Wink. After rounds of demos for many major labels, they went separate ways to form different projects. He then put effort into The Light Bachwood Movement. A one-person show. The focus was writing and recording, culminating in the record "A Symphony For Static Relationships."
He was lucky enough to spend the nineties with a slew of incredible artists. Aimee Mann, Susanna Hoffs, Fiona Apple & Carly Simon to name a few.
As the 2000's passed, he continued to make music with many different people and many other situations.
He has spent more and more time recording in recent years. If you open your iPhone and make Memories or Clips, you will see him there as an artist. Featuring some friends and family on these recordings. He has completed his first-ever soundtrack for the upcoming release of "As The Village Sleeps." In pre days of Covid, he was performing locally with Joe Normal and, more recently, the incredible John Brodeur of Bird Streets.
He finds himself working on Production Music these days and recording and writing with Francis Devout & The New Spiritualists.
Many new projects are in the works...
